We Welcome Our New President
Uttoxeter Rotary has marked the start of a new Rotary year with the installation of its new leadership team at the Club’s annual handover evening.
Richard Paine was formally welcomed as President, taking over the role from outgoing President Kate Nash. Richard paid tribute to Kate for her dedication and leadership throughout a highly successful year, during which the Club continued to make a significant contribution to the local community through fundraising, volunteering and community projects.
During the evening, Tom Buck was invested as Junior Vice President, beginning his leadership journey within the Club. More recently, President Richard also had the pleasure of presenting the Vice President’s jewel to Neil Hutchinson, completing the leadership team for the year ahead.
Looking back on the past twelve months, Uttoxeter Rotary members have much to celebrate. Together, they raised more than £29,000 to support our CRY campaign alone, as well as giving to charitable and community causes, with many local organisations and charities benefiting from the Club’s fundraising and service activities, totallying almost £40,000.
President Richard Paine said:
It is a privilege to serve as President of Uttoxeter Rotary. I would like to thank Kate for her outstanding leadership over the past year and congratulate Neil and Tom as we begin this new Rotary year together. Our Club has a proud tradition of supporting the local community, and I look forward to building on that success with the enthusiasm and dedication of our members.”
Uttoxeter Rotary looks forward to another year of friendship, fun and service, continuing to support local, national and international causes while making a positive difference in our community.
During the past year, the Club has been proud to support the following charities and organisations:
