About Us
Uttoxeter Rotary
About Us
We are people of action.
Rotary is one of the world’s largest and most successful global membership and humanitarian service organisations, with 1.2 million members in over 200 countries.
At Uttoxeter Rotary we are all volunteers, we give of our time for free and every penny we raise is given to good causes, locally, in the UK and Internationally.
As Rotarians in Uttoxeter we all committed to supporting our International Charity, which has been responsible for some excellent work. Eradicating Polio in the world is our biggest pledge and we are almost there in our quest.
The standard constitution covering all Rotary clubs sets down the qualifications for membership as adult persons who demonstrate good character, integrity, and leadership; possess good reputation within their business, profession and/or community; and are willing to serve in their community and/or around the world.
Our Focus
For the wider community.
Other areas of focus are:
- Supporting the environment
- Peace building and conflict prevention
- Disease prevention and treatment
- Water, sanitation and hygiene
- Maternal and child health
- Basic education and literacy
- Community economic development
These causes encompass some of the world’s most critical humanitarian needs and provide an opportunity for Rotary members to transform the world through volunteering and service projects.
Service & Friendship
